Art-Making in the Midst of Winter Doldrums

Although this blog is beginning to sound redundant (whine, whine, whine!), it's just that sometimes the blank screen before me is more receptive to what I'm thinking and feeling than the people around me.

Working small, as I wrote before, seems to enable me to work abstractly -- "Sand Storm" is a quick piece on 140 lbs. watercolor paper with aqua media, plus some surface scratchings to suggest movement.

Work small . . .

Work quick . . .

Don't think, just feel . . .

Be back with more "smalls" later in the week . . .

I'm so cold I can't feel my fingers . . .

Ah, winter in New England . . . #&*@!!!
